Dr. Kamil M. Amer is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in the care of the hand and upper extremity. His practice emphasizes precise diagnosis, evidence-based treatment, and clear communication with patients throughout their recovery.

He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, followed by an orthopedic surgery residency at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. He went on to complete a fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where he refined his expertise in microsurgical reconstruction, complex fracture care, and minimally invasive techniques.

Dr. Amer treats patients across northern New Jersey at affiliated locations in Clifton, Paramus, and Newark. He sees patients with a range of upper extremity conditions, from acute injuries and fractures to chronic conditions affecting the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand.

Dr. Amer has contributed to the peer-reviewed orthopedic literature on topics including tranexamic acid use in orthopedic surgery, radial head arthroplasty, intertrochanteric fracture management, posterior interosseous neuropathy, and the development of mobile-based surgical simulation tools for procedures such as carpal tunnel release.
